Diane Lee Noble-Hepfer

Diane Lee (Rose) Noble-Hepfer was called home to be with Jesus on Thursday, July 10, 2025.

Diane was born October 15, 1940 in Flint to the late Doris (Pierce) Smeckert and Delano Rose. She was a graduate of Sandusky High School, Class of 1959.

Diane was a loving mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother who was blessed with a kind, generous, energetic, loving spirit.

She was a stay-at-home mom while her boys were younger and later went on to work for the state at the Caro Regional Hospital, a job she really enjoyed. She loved to help people out, even if it came at her own expense. She loved doing crafts and enjoyed sharing her creations with others.

She prided herself on her cooking and loved to just throw things together without a recipe and it always (almost always) tasted good. Diane cooked in generous portions and always made enough to feed an army.

Diane was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Noble (‘08), who she shared two sons with; and her second husband, Larry Hepfer (‘04). She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Nicholas Noble (‘08); her mother, Doris Smeckert (‘25) and step-father, Leland Smeckert (‘09), who raised Diane from a young age as his own.

Diane grew up in Snover on the Smeckert farm from which she had many fond memories.

She will be lovingly remembered by her two sons, Matthew Noble and Daniel (Vicky) Noble; five grandsons and two granddaughters; thirteen great-grandchildren; brother, Terry (Teresa) Smeckert; sister, Jenell (Keith) Praay; and her nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, October 10, 2025 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro. Diane’s family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 4:00 p.m. Burial will follow at a later date at Indianfields Township Cemetery in Caro.
