Diane Kathleen Scott

Diane Kathleen Scott of Caro, age 75, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024. Diane was born November 1, 1948 in Saginaw, the daughter of the late Morris James and Ann Patricia (Cook) Scott. She graduated from Akron Fairgrove High School with the class of 1966 and went on to further her studies at Delta College, graduating as a Registered Nurse. Diane worked at St. Lukes Hospital and went into home health care, retiring in 2012. After retirement she obtained her realtor’s license and worked for Kelly & Co. For over fifteen years Diane was a member of the American Kennel Club, proudly showing Siberian Huskies; two of them being finished champions. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, crafting, cooking, and tending to her garden. Diane loved being on her computer, playing her video games, and always had HGTV & the Food Network on. She was very strong-willed and wasn’t afraid to tell you so; beyond her strength and resilience, Diane was a woman of great compassion and love. She loved her family and always made sure they were well cared for. Her generous heart knew no bounds, and her kindness touched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to cross her path.

Diane leaves to cherish her memory, her sons & their wives, Jeff & Tracy Frent and Marty & Colleen Frent; grandchildren, Rachael & Jason Rood, Ashley Allison, Marissa & Rich Floro, and Zack Frent; great-grandchildren, Eleanor Rood and Lennon Rood; sisters, Linda & E. North Coleman and Peggy Scott-Kurzyniec; sister-in-law, Janelle Scott; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Diane was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Scott; brother-in-law, Tim Kurzyniec; and the father of her children, James Frent.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro. Rev. Bob Demyanovich will officiate and burial will follow at the Demorest Cemetery in Akron. The family will be present to receive friends on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of her service.
