Diann Letson Claar

Diann Letson Claar of Deltona, formerly of Caro, age 75, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at home, surrounded by her family, after a two-month battle with glioblastoma. Diann was born November 11, 1946, in Caro, the daughter of the late George and Doris (Hutchison) Letson. Diann graduated from Caro High School and worked at Caro Community Hospital before moving to St. Petersburg, Florida, to work in the medical field until she retired in 2018. On November 21, 1984, Diann married David Claar, who proceeded with her death in 2004. Diann enjoyed spending time with her son and family, cooking for everyone, and the beauty of gardening. Dianns loving and warm personality will be sadly missed by all whose lives she touched. Diann is survived by her son, Scott (Megan) Freeland, granddaughter, Crystal, and grandson, Jasper. In addition to her husband and parents, Diann was preceded in death by her sisters, Judy Letson and Linda Amos Letson. Memorials may be made to a local animal shelter to honor Dianns love of the many pets she loved and cared for. In keeping with Dianns wishes, the inurnment will be held at Indianfields Cemetery in Caro.
