Dion G. Harder

Dion George Harder, age 54 of Bay Port, passed away early Monday morning on July 23, 2012. Dion was born November 19, 1957 in Pigeon to George and Marjean (Deering) Harder. He is a 1975 graduate of Laker High School. On September 9, 1978, he married Patricia Craig at Community of Christ Church in Bay Port.
Dion loved spending time outdoors enjoying many activities. He enjoyed ice fishing, commercial fishing, boating, hunting, camping, riding his 4-wheeler, driving his airboat, and gathering with his many good friends and loving family around the pole barn.

Dion is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia; his loving children, Jackie-Lyn (Jason) Christner and Brianne (Eric Thick) Harder; dearest grandson, Brady Christner; his loving parents, George and Marjean Harder; dear sisters, Gina (Sue Anderson) Harder and Jennifer (Bryon Kanyak) Shippey.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Clare Forman.

The Memorial Service will be 12:00 noon on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Meyersieck-Bussema Funeral Home, Pigeon. Visiting will begin at 10:00 am until the time of service.
