Dolores Ann Bieri, age 75, of Caseville passed away on the morning of Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born on November 28, 1950 and attended Laker High School. In the summer of 1967, Dolores happened to meet Ronald Bieri. It was love at first sight, and the two were married on May 4, 1968.
Dolores helped run the family business, D & R Bieri Excavating, where she did just about everything and was always willing to help wherever she was needed. She was determined, capable, and incredibly smart, and there wasn’t much she couldn’t accomplish once she set her mind to it. Dolores and Ron also owned Owendale Speedway for ten years, which was a perfect fit for her love of fast cars and racing. She once took first place in an all-male championship race. Her competitive spirit was just one part of the feisty, rebellious, and strong-willed personality that made Dolores who she was.
Those who knew Dolores knew exactly where they stood with her. She didn’t mince words and wasn’t afraid to tell you how it was, and if she didn’t like you, chances are you knew that too. When she had the chance to get away, Dolores loved vacationing at their home in Florida and going on golf cart rides. She especially loved mermaids and unicorns, often decorating with them and collecting things that caught her eye.
Above all, Dolores treasured time spent with her family and her favorite dog, Gizmo. She will be remembered for her strength, determination, quick mind, unmistakable personality, and the love she had for her family.
Dolores leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of over fifty-eight years, Ron; children, Tracy Bieri, Paul Bieri, and Charlotte Braun; grandchildren, JC (Kayla Jacobs) Witherspoon, Kyle Horn, Travis (Ilah) Bieri, Caitlyn (Austin) Varty, Justin Scepanski, Preston Braun, and Parker Braun; great-grandchildren, Logan, Ava, Landon, Liam, Oakley, Linley, Blakely, Layton, Marcus, and Harper; siblings, Maria Nuncio, Junior Nuncio, Rudy Nuncio, Anita Hernandez, Andy Camacho, Alberta Torrez, Mary Camacho, and Caroline Bryant; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Dolores was preceded in death by her grandson, Jeffery Powell and brothers, Johnny Camacho and Robert Nuncio.
Dolores’ funeral service will be on Friday, September 18, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ransford Funeral Home in Pigeon with Rev. Mike Goforth officiating. The family will be present to receive visitors on Thursday, September 17, 2026 at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of her service. Following the funeral there will be a Celebration of Life at the Infinity Event Center. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dolores’ caregivers for the compassion and exceptional care they gave. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Thumb Animal Shelter, 2260 S Elkton Rd, Elkton, MI 48731.
