Dolores M. Canever age 83 of Pigeon died Saturday morning at the Huron County Medical Care Facility.
She was born February 16, 1921 in Detroit to the late Ferdinand and Ella (Koths) Bolle.
On September 10, 1949 she was united in marriage to Clifford J. Canever at Covenant Lutheran Church in Detroit. He preceded her in death June 30, 1977.
Dolores was a homemaker all her life living in the Detroit and Plymouth area. She moved to Sand Point in 1999 to be nearer her family.
She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Berne and enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles and was an avid reader. She loved playing carding cards with her grandchildren.
Surviving are two daughters, Christine (Roger) Hill of Grand Rapids and Dolores (Robert) Bumhoffer of Pigeon; three grandchildren, Clifton, Jonathan and Samuel Bumhoffer all at home. Preceding her in death was her son, William Canever in 1999.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 30, at St. John Lutheran Church, Berne. Rev. James Gorsenger, pastor will officiate with burial in Glen Eden Cemetery, Livonia.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM Tuesday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton and at the church after 10 AM Wednesday.
Memorials may be given to Relay for Life or her church.
