Dolores Diver

Dolores Diver, age 78, passed away on May 6, 2011 at St. Marys of Michigan in Saginaw. She was born on September 29, 1932 in rural Wilmot to the late Fred Armstrong and Mary (Waxell) Kovacik. She was raised in Detroit, spent her summers in Wilmot, and graduated from Pershing High School. On December 20, 1958 Dolores married Curt Diver in Pontiac. In 1973, Dee and Curt moved to Wells Township where they have lived for 38 years. Dee was a homemaker, wife, and mother. She was an active member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Wilmot (a church founded in part by her grandparents) and a member of the church choir. Dee raised canaries, enjoyed painting ceramics, crocheting, and raising flowers. She was a very artistic person and loved music, particularly singing and dancing. She is survived by her husband, Curtis of Caro, and her daughter, Renee Diver of Chicago, Illinois. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at St. Michael Catholic Church in Wilmot on Monday, May 9, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Donald Eppenbrock officiating. Rite of Committal will be at St. Michael Catholic Cemetery, Wilmot. Visitation will be held at the Collon Funeral Home on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to St. Michael Catholic Church.
