Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Dolores Eileen Gray, passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Medilodge of Frankenmuth. Dolores was born April 19, 1929 in Caro, the daughter of the late Ira L. and Jennie A. Bosely. Dolores was a graduate of Caro High School and studied at Alma College and the Sherwood Music School in Chicago, Illinois. She went on to teach organ for Grinnell Brothers in Bay City and privately tutored music students for more than thirty years, retiring on June 14, 1983. Dolores married Jay D. Gray on August 7, 1946 in Saginaw and he preceded her in death on January 21, 2013. Her faith and family were very important to her. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Caro and its Women's Association, a teacher for many years, a member of the Monday morning Bible study class, member of the Caro 20th Century Club, past president of the Caro Wixson Club, original member of the Caro Quilt Guild, member of the Caro Community Hospital Auxiliary, representative for Youth for Understanding, and a volunteer for many community causes. Dolores enjoyed spending time at her summer home at Vaughan Lake, golfing, traveling, and all forms of the fine arts. Dolores is survived by two sons and their wives, Brian & Pamela Gray of Kawkawlin, Bruce & Jessica Gray of Williamston, eight grandchildren, Christopher & Becki, Noel & Rachel and Brandon & Amanda Gray, Emily, Bethany, Diego, Sophia and Liam Gray; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and many nieces and nephews. In keeping with Dolores' wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the First Presbyterian Church of Caro, Caro Hospital Auxiliary or the American Heart Association.
