Dolores “Dee” Lubaczewski died tragically Thursday, November 23, 2006 at her home in Bay City. Dolores was born August 9, 1946 in Fairgrove, the daughter of Harold Lila (Skinner) Powell. She graduated from Fairgrove High School in the class of 1964, moving to Caro shortly thereafter. She was married to Leonard Lubaczewski in 1965 in Cass City. They continued to live in Caro until Dolores moved to Bay City to live in 1988. For over fifteen years, Dolores was employed at After Hours Formal Wear in Bay City and this last year, operated an evening Day Care in her home. Dolores was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Parish in Bay City. Dee had many talents that included all kinds of crafts, ceramics, cooking, baking and decorating her home for the festive holidays. Dolores is survived by one son, one daughter and their spouses, Todd Lubaczewski and his partner, Jade Sieh of The Hague, Holland, Carrie Ted Homewood of Hong Kong; one granddaughter, Jodee Grace Lubaczewski in The Hague, Holland; her parents, Harold Lila Powell of Fairgrove; three brothers one sister, Jim Powell of Caro, Gary Laura Powell of Fairgrove, Ron Brenda Powell of Boynton Beach, Fl, Leeila Warren Miller of Fairgrove and five nieces and nephews.
