Dolores Arlene Wolverton of Reese, age 87, passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Medilodge of Cass City. Dolores was born August 28, 1934 in Detroit, the daughter of the late Richard and Marie (Gilbert) Ramsden. She graduated from Fairgrove High School, class of 1952 and went on to further her studies at the Bay City Business School. It was in high school Dolores met the love of her life, Donald H. Wolverton. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on May 18, 1956 at Fairgrove Presbyterian Church. Together they shared over sixty-one years of marriage, one wonderful son, and countless memories. Sadly, Donald preceded Dolores in death on February 4, 2018. Dolores worked as a bank teller at Farmers & Merchants Bank in Sebewaing, was head teller at Second National Bank in Saginaw, and ended her career at Peoples State Bank as a bookkeeper. She was devoted to her family and loved spending time with her husband, son, and grandchildren. In her free time she liked to quilt, collect antiques, love on her cherished kitty cats, and feed the birds. She was a member of the Cass River Quilting Guild and attended the Octagon Barn Festival in Gagetown. Dolores made sure to never miss an episode of Judge Judy and enjoyed traveling with her mom to Hawaii and Mexico, to name a few places. Dolores' kind and devoted ways will be missed for years to come. Dolores leaves to carry on her legacy her son, Donald M. (Laura) Wolverton; grandchildren, Shaun (Breanne Moss) Wolverton, Eric (Brittany) Wolverton, and Marie (Brent) Heleski; great-grandchildren, Leeha, Alie, and Lindsey Wolverton; sister-in-law, Irene Ramsden; a dear friend who is like a daughter, Carol (Rick) Duke; loving furbaby and companion, Skeeter; along with several nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Dolores was welcomed home to heaven by her brother, Richard Ramsden; father- and mother-in-law, Firman and Maggie Wolverton; brothers and sisters-in-law, CR Wolverton, Frances Morris, Mary Jean Knudsen, and Harold Wolverton.
