Donald Richard June, 68, of Millington, Michigan died Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Scheurer Hospital in Pigeon from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Don was born May 13, 1949 in Alameda, California to Lois and the late Harold June. He attended the California College of Arts and Crafts. At age 19 Don was baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and went on to serve a two-year mission in Pennsylvania. Several years later, Don married and became a father of four wonderful children. He re-married in 2004 to Brenda Meinecke and embraced her eight children. Through the years Don has become a loving grandpa of 27 grandchildren. Don valued being a father and providing for his family. He was a very inventive man who started his own business: Amazing Carpet Renewal. In addition to his business and family duties, Don served many positions in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints including Branch President of the Bad Axe Branch. If Don could share one last thing, he would express his love for the Savior and Heavenly Father and invite you to come onto Christ. He believed families are together forever and death cannot rob us of this great blessing. God called back a wonderful, loving, faithful son who is greatly missed by all who knew him.
Don is survived by his mother Lois June of Oregon; wife Brenda of Millington; children Samuel of Lansing, Benjamin, Matthew and Rachel, all of Wisconsin; step-children Christopher (Debbie) Valentine, Daniel (Karen) Valentine, Gloria (Art) Licht, Amanda Valentine, David (Darcie) Valentine, John Valentine, Andrea (David) Bowen and Virginia Link; 27 grandchildren; and siblings Dave and Rick June and Rebecca Bouchard. He was preceded in death by his brother Daniel and father Harold.
