Donald E. Kuck, Sr.

Donald E. Kuck, Sr. of Caro, age 83, passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at home. Don was born November 4, 1937 in Hazel Park, the son of the late Carl & Almina Kuck. He spent a lifetime working with his hands as a homebuilder, landscaper, and machinist. Don also served as the minister for Melchizedek Temple in Kingston for many years. He was artistic by nature, generous to a fault, and active with "Extended Hand" in Utica to assist those in need. Don's life centered around his family whom he loved providing for. His home was always full, and door always open. In his spare time, Don enjoyed playing cards, studying history, and watching sports, especially NASCAR and the Detroit Tigers. Don is survived by five children and their spouses, Anita & Alton Baldwin, Carl Kuck, Donald Kuck, Jr., Carolyn Holly Kuck and her fianc, Steven Blain, Darlene & Mike Farley; ten grandchildren with another expected shortly; one great-grandchild; three siblings, Chester, Nancy, and Rosemary; friend and mother of his children, Carol Kuck-Siira; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by two children, Garret and Lynn Marie; and four siblings, Bob, Naomi, Frances, and John. A memorial service to celebrate Don's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Pastor Wood officiating. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider contributions for the benefit of the family.
