Donald Sattelberg

Donald L. Sattelberg, age 75, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2012 at St. Marys Medical Center in Saginaw, following a sudden illness. Don was born July 10, 1936 in Gagetown, the son of the late Elmer and Marie (Link) Sattelberg. He was a lifelong resident of Tuscola County. Donald married the former Ann McPherson on July 6, 1956, and she preceded him in death on May 26, 1988. On November 3, 1989, he was united in marriage with Suzanne (McInnis) Hadaway at Trinity Lutheran Church in Reese. Don was employed at the Caro Creamery, Marlex Manufacturing, and for thirty-three years in maintenance for the County of Tuscola, retiring as maintenance supervisor. In addition to working maintenance, he was a Tuscola County Sheriffs Deputy. He has been a member of St. Paul Lutheran in Caro for more than sixty years and the Fraternal Order of Modern Woodmen. In addition to spending time with his family, he enjoyed camping, going out to eat with friends and possessed a lifelong love for cars. Surviving is his wife, Suzanne; two sons, Dr. Carl (Tammy) Sattelberg of Port Huron, Dennis (Ann) Sattelberg of Caro; five grandchildren, Curtis Sattelberg and fianc
