Donald Witkovsky

Donald Witkovsky of Caro, age 86, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2015 at Caro Community Hospital in Caro. Donald was born August 20, 1928 in Almer Township, the son of the late Charles and Zetta (Crankshaw) Witkovsky. He was united in marriage with the former Doris Martindale on November 21, 1947 in Caro. Donald was employed at Michigan Sugar Company from 1954 until his retirement and was also a part-time farmer with his father. His hobbies included camping, collecting antique tractors, wood working, and spending time outside. Donald was also an active member of the Thumb Old Engine and Tractor Association. Donald is survived by his wife, Doris Witkovsky of Caro; two sons and their spouses, Alan & Evelyn Witkovsky of Gagetown, Karl & Donna Witkovsky of Cass City; two granddaughters, Emma Witkovsky of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Erin & Christopher Green of Blacklick, Ohio; several nieces and nephews and special neighbors. Don was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Duane Witkovsky and his spouse Margaret "Virginia". In keeping with Donald's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are planned. The family was assisted with these arrangements by the Ransford Collon Funeral Home of Caro.
