Donald "Buff" E. Gangler, age 76, of Unionville, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2012 at his home. Donald was born March 20, 1936 in Bay City, MI to the late Christopher and Amelia (York) Gangler. He married Carole Roth May 7, 1960 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Roseville, MI. Donald was a member of the Unionville Knights of Columbus Post # 8582, an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Donald is survived by his wife, Carole Gangler; his children: Susan (Randy) Faber, Stephen (Ursula) Gangler and Mark (Michelle) Gangler; grandchildren: Mike, Jenny, Shaun and Emily Faber, Christopher, Dakota and Seth Gangler, Rachel and Amelia Gangler; siblings: Ken (Delores) Gangler, Caroline (late Donald) Dickson, June (Ken) Colling and Alice (Leon) Stecker; also survived by many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brother Ronald "Pat" Gangler.
Visitation Monday, June 4, 2012 from 4-8pm and Tuesday, June 5, 2012 from 2-8pm with an evening Rosary service by the Knights of Columbus service at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing.
Funeral service on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am.
Burial will take place privately at Hickory Island Cemetery in Akron Twp., MI.
Memorial donations may be made to the family discretionary fund.
