Donna Sue Arnoldy

Donna S. Arnoldy, 76, of Rose Island, passed away Friday, July 14, 2023 at her home under hospice care.

Donna was born January 20, 1947 in Fairhaven Township to the late Nicholas and Mary (Printz) Essler.  She was the owner of Pop’s Place for 33 years.  Donna loved watching the Tigers and Red Wings, playing pool and 6 handed Euchre with her brothers and sisters on Sunday afternoons. She also enjoyed spending time with her cat Hannah-May, watching wildlife and the sunset on Saginaw Bay and spending time on the water. Donna loved life and was loved by many.

She is survived by her son David (Kendra Leitch) Badder of Bay Port; siblings Robert (Jeanette) Essler of Flint Township, Eleanor (Jerry) Chartrand of Stewart, Fl, Marilyn Thede (friend Lou) of Sebewaing and John (Jeannine) Essler and Diane Gaeth of Unionville; several nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.  Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
