Donna Gail Brown

Donna Gail Brown of Cass City, age 67, passed away while traveling in Fort Myers, Florida on Monday, April 12, 2021. Donna was born July 26, 1953 in Knoxville, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Theodore & Irene Hazel (Troutman) Burnette. She graduated from high school in Knoxville and also attended business college there. Donna operated a moving company in Tennessee before coming to Caro over thirty years ago. While in Caro, she was employed at Subway in Cass City and the ReliaCare Agency in Caro as a home health aide. Donna was always busy, naturally social, and never afraid to share her opinions. She was a great storyteller and would often be seen walking miles a day around Caro. She was an avid reader, enjoyed listening to music, and was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Caro. Left to cherish her memory are three children and their spouses, Sandra & Nicholas Schmidt of Ubly, Brandy & Jeffrey Dibble of Caro, Ceijey Scott of Caro; twelve grandchildren, Brittney Schmidt of Essexville, Morgan Schmidt of Bad Axe, McKayla, Alexis, David, and Brianna Schmidt, all of Ubly, Jazmine, Jeffery Jon, Jayle, Journey, Bladen, and Briella Dibble, all of Caro; and special friend, Jerry. In keeping with Donna's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at the Novesta Church of Christ in Cass City with Pastor Brad Speirs officiating.
