Donna Marie Fuerst

Donna Marie Fuerst, age 87, of Bay Port, passed away peacefully at her home Saturday morning, April 27, 2013. Donna was born January 22, 1926 to Fred and Bertha (Dast) Elftman in Winsor Twp., MI. She graduated from Pigeon High School in 1944. She then attended Bay City School of Cosmetology. She owned and operated Donna's Beauty Shop for many years. She also worked at Kelly's Bar in Kilmanagh. Donna married Herschel D. Wideman on August 24, 1949. He preceded her in death on June 12, 1955. She then married Milton Fuerst on May 25, 1973. He preceded her in death on October 17, 1987. She enjoyed bowling, knitting, playing cards, riding motorcycle, and spending time with her family. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Kilmanagh.

Donna is survived by her children: Connie (Tom) Strieter and Danny Wideman; her grandchildren: Heidi (David) Nicholas, David (Tara) Scharich, Alicia (Bill) Schell, Kevin Strieter, Mike (Audrey) Streiter, Steven Wideman and Mandy (Jason) Cole; great grandchildren: Jonah, Adam & Sophia Nicholas, David, Gabriella and Joshua Scharich, Lyla and Will Schell, and Jacob, Levi and Savannah Cole; her sisters: Alice Eimers and Betty (Ted) Wisneski.

Visitation will be Monday, April 29, 2013 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 2-9pm.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at St. John Lutheran Church (Kilmanagh). Visitation will begin at the church at 10AM until the time of service at 11AM.

Burial will be at New Bay Port Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be given to St. John Lutheran Church (Kilmanagh), Bay Port United Methodist Church, or Make-A-Wish Foundation.
