Donna M Gunsell

Donna M. Gunsell age 82 of Owendale passed away Thursday morning, August 7, at Mid-Michigan Medical Center, Midland.
She was born August 15, 1931 in Sebewaing Twp. to the late William and Christina (Gabriel) Elsesser.

On April 23, 1966, she was united in marriage to Donald F. Gunsell at the Methodist Church in Sebewaing and made their home in Owendale. Donald preceded her in death May 26, 1975.

Donna had been employed for 25 years at Automotive Industries in Owendale until they closed, then at General Cable, Cass City two years, and retired from Voltron, Bad Axe in 1999 with five years of service.
She was a former member of Faith Gospel Church and in retirement, Donna enjoyed gardening especially flowers and cooking for her family.

Surviving are six children, Kathrine Maynard of Bad Axe, Peggy (Willard) Gross of Chandler Twp., Cindy (Mark) McLeod of Port Austin, Dora (Dave Fitzgerald) Madziar of Saginaw, Doreen (Earl) Harris of Owendale and David (Andrea) Gunsell of Akron, seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren and a sister, Virginia Kain of Owendale.
Preceding her in death were a daughter, Patricia Faust; two grandsons, John and Jason Maurer; sister, Diane Lesoski and two brothers, Otto and William Elsesser.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday, August 11, at Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton. Rev. James Willet retired will officiate with burial in Grant Twp. Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM Sunday and after 10:00 AM Monday.
Memorials may be directed to the family or the donor’s choice
