Donna Hill

Donna Jean Hill, age 85, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2009 at Covenant Healthcare Cooper in Saginaw, following a brief illness. She was born January 30, 1924 in Vassar, the daughter of the late Harry and Mary Louise (Rahn) Swaffer, and was a lifelong area resident. Donna was united in marriage with Delphin Hill on April 23, 1955 in Marlette. He preceded her in death on July 3, 1990. She was a member of the Vassar United Methodist Church and enjoyed doing embroidery, word searches and tending to her garden. Donna is survived by two children, Gordon Hill of Caro, Della Fahrenbruch and her husband Roger of Vassar; two step-children, Kay Severson and her husband Gene of Marlette, Sharon Hill of Wisconsin; nine grandchildren and many great grandchildren; one sister, Rose League and her husband John of Vassar and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Donna was preceded in death by two brothers, Chuck and George Swaffer and four sisters, Babe, Dorothy, Winifred and Mildred.
