Donna Holden

Donna Holden, age 70, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2009 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, following a brief and courageous battle with cancer. She was born December 16, 1938 in Caro, the daughter of the late Donald R. & Alice (Ziegler) Ellwanger. Following graduation from Caro High School in 1957, Donna was united in marriage with Jerry B. Holden on August 20, 1957 in Caro and moved to Livonia shortly thereafter. Donna was employed for over thirty-five years with Comerica Bank, becoming a branch manager in the Detroit metropolitan area at various branches. Following her retirement ten years ago, Donna and Jerry moved from Livonia to the Fenton area to live. In her spare time, Donna enjoyed traveling, socializing and incessantly redecorating their country home. Surviving are her husband of over fifty-two years, Jerry Holden of Fenton; two daughters and one son, Patty and her husband Roy Cohen of New Rochelle, New York, M. Christine Holden of Chicago, Illinois, David P. Holden of Burlingame, California; two grandchildren, Maya and Noah Cohen; one brother, George and his wife, Barb Ellwanger of Boyne City, and several nieces and nephews.
