Doris Dyer

Doris Dyer, age 82, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2012 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility in Caro. She was born on September 12, 1929 in Caro, the daughter of the late Warren and Doris (Coleman) Little. Doris was united in marriage with John “Jack” Dyer on July 10, 1965 in Caro. Jack preceded her in death on May 15, 2001. She was a homemaker and mother who enjoyed Bingo and word search in her spare time. She was a member of the Caro Women of the Moose Lodge #940 and the Caro V.F.W. Womens Auxiliary Post #4164. Doris is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Patty Ann & Tim Pieske of Ann Arbor; one granddaughter, Lillie Grace Pieske of Ann Arbor; one sister, Helen Mannor of Maybee; one brother-in-law, Raymond Spaulding of Cass City; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, James Warren Dyer; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Josephine & Herman Snay, Shirley Spaulding, and Robert Mannor; one step-brother, Matthew Larabee. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 14, 2012 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Chris Taylor facilitating. In keeping with Doris wishes, cremation will follow the service. Burial will follow at a later date at the Indianfields Township Cemetery in Caro. The family will receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Doris Dyer Family Discretionary Fund, c/o Patty Pieske, 205 W.
