Doris Miners of Caro, age 69, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Medilodge of Cass City. Doris was born August 23, 1951 at home in Caro to the late William and Estella (Putman) Wheaton. She had been employed in manufacturing for many years. Although Doris enjoyed most spending time with her family, she also spent many hours knitting, crocheting, taking nature walks, attending antique car shows and collecting antique porcelain dolls. She spent many hours listening to her husband Larry play guitar, especially Freddy Fender's "Before the Next Teardrop Falls". Doris is survived by five children and their spouses, Joseph Gonzales, Tracy Dennis and her husband, Gregory, Angela Gonzales, Mike Gonzales and his wife, Tammy, all of Caro, and Mary Lloyd and her husband Ken of Naples, Florida; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Edith Ruppert of Caro and Deb Lusher and her husband, Ed, of Caro. In additional to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by one brother, Melvin "Dick" Wheaton; one sister, Joyce Patterson; one grandson, Michael Paul Gonzales; a niece, Tammy Ruppert; and both of her husbands, Barney Gonzales and Lawrence Miners. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be planned at a later date.
