Doris L. Moore

Doris L. (Fullmer) Moore of Caro, age 85, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Boulder Community Hospital in Boulder, Colorado, following a brief illness. Doris was born September 25, 1930 in Caro, the daughter of the late Frank B. & Josephine A. (Walsh) Fullmer, and was a lifelong Caro resident. For many years, she worked as a secretary at the Fullmer Stock Yards and later at the Tuscola Intermediate School District. Doris was united in marriage with Walter Kutchins on May 31, 1997 at the Caro United Methodist Church, and he preceded her in death on July 26, 2013. Doris enjoyed golfing around the world with her husband, traveling, dancing, playing Euchre and was an avid snow skier. She was a member of the Women's Golf League at the Caro Golf Club, a lifelong member of the Caro United Methodist Church, and she and her family were founders of the Boots & Saddle Club. Doris is survived by her daughter, Sue Ann Vollmar and her husband, Robert Jeffrey, of Boulder, Colorado; a grandson and his wife, Donald A. & Ann M. Vollmar of Willowbrook, Illinois; two great-grandchildren, Adam and Emily Vollmar, of Willowbrook, Illinois; two siblings and their spouses, Dick & Janet Fullmer of Caro, Judy & Joseph Krawczyk of Petoskey; nieces and nephews, Debbie and Bobbie Fullmer, Christina & Buck Anthony, Kevin & Christy Krawczyk, Lee, Kirk and Robert Kitchen, Jane & Ron Potoczny. In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by Donald C. Moore; and a sister-in-law, Beverly Ann Kitchen. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at the Caro United Methodist Church with Rev. Gregg Mayberry officiating. The family will be present to receive friends at the church on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Evans Scholarship Foundation or the Caro United Methodist Church.
