Doris Sophia Quick

Doris Sophia Quick, age 87, of Bay Port, passed away Friday, November 29, 2013, at her home.

Doris was born April 30, 1926 in Bay Port to the late Edward and Leah (Braun) Kuhl. She married Earl D. Quick June 26, 1948 in Kilmanagh. He passed away March 28, 1990. Doris was a hairdresser for the last 69 years. She was a lifelong member at Kilmanagh United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Huron County dairy Diplomats and enjoyed bowling and gardening.

Doris is survived by her children: Cindy Hoagg and Scott (Julie) Quick; grandchildren: Jamie (friend Jean Lorenz) Hoagg, Mike (Sarah) Hoagg and Jennifer Quick; great grandchildren: Allen, Jeffrey, Gracie Ann and Natalie Hoagg; 2 sisters: Alberta Cagle and Sylvia (Douglas) Wheeling; 3 sister-in-laws: Lorrine Kuhl, Marion Kuhl and Belva Kuhl; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation is Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 2-9pm.

The funeral service is Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Kilmanagh United Methodist Church. Visitation at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am. Rev. Alger Lewis is officiating.

Burial will take place privately at New Bay Port Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be given to Bay Shore Camp or the charity of your choice.
