Doris Marie Treiber

Doris Marie Treiber, age 84, of Sebewaing, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Sunday, March 2, 2014 in the comfort of her own home.

She was born September 7, 1929 in Saginaw to the late Guy and Helen (Siller) Brassaw. She worked at Saginaw Steering Gear/General Motors and Michigan State Extension Office in Caro as a secretary.

She married Elmo "El" Treiber, November 22, 1956 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Saginaw. They spent 57 wonderful years together. They enjoyed traveling and spending time with their children and grandchildren. Doris also enjoyed playing bridge, bowling, and watching the Detroit Pistons and Detroit Tigers. She was known for her beautiful smile, strong faith in God and her love for her family.

Doris is survived by her husband, El Treiber; children: Paul (Libby) Treiber, Mark (Lisa) Treiber, Ann (Ralph) Hoppe, Connie (Marty) Ragnone and Roger (Sharon) Nocella; grandchildren: Jessica, Carly, Mackenzie, Erica, Aaron, Andy, Sarah, Ben, Ally, Cody, Jordan, Alexis and Sondra; great grandchildren: James, Shannon, Erin, Ernest and Clayton; sister, Shirley Schleimer; and loving nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her grandchildren: Joshua (survived by Mari), Shannon, and Tanya; sister, Helen Murphy, and brothers-in-law: Edward Schleimer and Paul Murphy.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 2-4 pm and 6-9 pm.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Unionville. Visitation will begin at the church at 12 noon until the time of service at 1 pm.

Burial will take place at Columbia Twp. Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Heartland Hospice and the Susan G. Komen Cancer Research.
