Doris Mae Witkovsky

Doris Mae Witkovsky, age 90, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2016 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Community in Caro. Doris was born April 27, 1926 in Caro, the daughter of the late George & Gertrude (Fenner) Martindale, and was a lifelong area resident. She was united in marriage to Donald Witkovsky on November 21, 1947 in Caro, and he preceded her in death on April 13, 2015. Early in her life, Doris worked in retail at the Evenknit store and then as a homemaker raising her family. She enjoyed word-find books, knitting, spending time with her family camping. Doris is survived by two sons and their spouses, Alan & Evelyn Witkovsky of Gagetown, Karl & Donna Witkovsky of Cass City; two granddaughters, Emma Witkovsky of Grand Rapids and Erin & Christopher Green of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; one brother and his wife, Roger & Joanne Martindale of Gagetown; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Doris was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Duril Martindale. In keeping with Doris' wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held.
