Doris M Wood

Doris M. Wood of Caro, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at Fisher Senior Care and Rehab in Mayville. She was born January 26, 1933 in Pontiac, the daughter of the late Frankie and Leota (Thornton) Buhl. Doris was united in marriage with Kenneth J. Wood on January 14, 1960 in Pontiac. He preceded her in death June 11, 2002. Doris is survived by her daughter, Roxanna Wood of Caro; three granddaughters, Misty and Alisha Thompson, and Ashley Mathews; five great-grandchildren; her siblings, Darwin Buhl of Tennessee, Thornton “Tub” Buhl of Mayville, and Vali Donna Garzzero of Rhode Island. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Georgiana Buckley and Raye Lynn Bush. In keeping with Doris wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2013 with Rev. Michael Wester officiating. The family will receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 3:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Lighthouse Baptist Church.
