Dorothy Mae Britton

Dorothy Mae Britton of Caro, age 94, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2024 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Community. Dorothy was born July 10, 1929, in Wells, the daughter of the late Earl Oscar and Violet (McCrary) Maule. On April 1, 1951, Dorothy married Donald M. Britton in Caro. Their marriage was blessed with over forty-five years and many cherished memories. Sadly, Donald passed away on May 20, 1996. Throughout life, Dorothy was a hard worker and made sure her home and children were well cared for. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and loved to read. Dorothy had a huge heart and was always willing to help any way she could.

Dorothy leaves to cherish her memory her son and his family, Richard Britton; grandchildren, Michael Britton and Noel Britton-Jackson; great-grandchildren, Victoria, Emma, and Parker; daughter and her family, Elaine Fader; grandsons, Steven (Hollie) Fader and Joshua Fader; great-grandchildren, Christopher, Caiden, Britton, and Grace; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Steve Fader; and her twelve siblings.

In keeping with Dorothy’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
