Dorothy Hendricks of Vassar, age 61, joined her four children in Heaven on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at her home. She was born March 15, 1954 in Detroit she was united in marriage with Bill "Sparky" Hendricks on September 23, 1978 in Saginaw, and he survives her. Dorothy was a member of the Wahjamega Country Church since 1983, and served as the church secretary/treasurer for over twenty years, as well as being very active as a prayer warrior. She was a long time member and treasurer of the Christian Motorcyclists Association, Chapter #43 Thumbs Up For Christ, and involved in King Crusaders and other children's ministries. She was a friend to many, whether she had met you or not. Dorothy is survived by her loving husband of thirty-eight years, Bill "Sparky" Hendricks of Vassar; two children, Lydia & Brian Bragg of North Pole, Alaska, and Benjamin Hendricks of Leesville, South Carolina; granddaughter, Kimberly Lucille Bragg, and soon to be born, Arabella Bragg; her siblings, Larry Rehacek, Joann & Chuck Cutting of Charlotte, June & Richard Brown of Whittemore, Wanda & Daniel Hamblin of Ogden, Utah, Irene & Bill Reichenbach of Batesburg, South Carolina, Terry Davis of Whittemore, Fay & Anthony Edwards of Gilbert, South Carolina; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and the Grimm family; and the couple that raised her after the death of her mother Mabel Gaffney in 1962, Elmer and the late Ruby Davis; In keeping with Dorothy's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Dorothy's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at the Wahjamega Country Church in Caro with Pastor Phil Parkin officiating.
