Dorothy Mae "Dottie" Murrish

Dorothy "Dottie" Mae Murrish of Caro, age 89, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 19, 2022 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Community. Dottie was born August 14, 1933, the daughter of the late Joseph and Cecilia Pawlowski. She was a bookkeeper for her husband's sales company, a Girl Scout leader, and drove a bus for handicapped children. Dottie was a dedicated parishioner of St. Simon & Jude Parish in West Jefferson, Ohio. She never missed an episode of Dancing with the Stars and was an avid collector of small liquor bottles and Hummels. Dottie's loving and caring memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Dottie is survived by her children, Dr. Deborah Niedermiller (Oliver Pavoli), Sally Murrish, and Martin Murrish; grandchildren, Matthew Murrish, Malory Mallery, and Madelyn Hughes; many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents, Dottie was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Martin Murrish; grandson, Travis Niedermiller; siblings, Virginia (Walter) Mis, Marguerite (Eugene) Krywko, Charlotte Williamson (Frank Hodges), and Robert "Bob" (Delores) Pawlowski. A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, December 28th, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Christopher Parish, Sacred Heart Church in Caro. Dottie's family will be present to receive visitors from 10:30 a.m. until the time of mass. A funeral luncheon will follow the graveside service, and a graveside committal will follow at St. Michael Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project in honor of Dottie's grandson, Travis, or the Tuscola County Medical Care Community Forget-Me-Nots.
