Dorothy Mae Zimmer

Dorothy M. Zimmer, age 71, of Sebewaing, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Heartland Health Care Center-Hampton in Bay City. Dorothy was born at home in Sebewaing to the late Oscar and Amanda (Palmer) Zimmer on August 13, 1941. She enjoyed crafting, garage sales, watching plays, going to concerts, attending sporting events, growing plants and socializing with her many friends.

Dorothy is survived by her two sisters: Norma Stagray of New Hampshire and Nela Vesterfelt of Bay City, MI; her half brother, Howard Zimmer of Ohio; loving nieces and nephews: Gary (Carol) Kilgus, Rick (Sandra) Zimmer, Sherry (Ray) Kramer and Donald (Kate) Kilgus; also survived by nine loving great nieces and nephews; sister-in law, Sandra Zimmer of Oregon; special friends: Ruth Schwartz and Jane Rosenau; and her dear caregivers: Wanda Bills, Ethel Morrish, Mary Gjebic and Michelle Kuhl.

Proceeded in death by her parents, Oscar and Amanda Zimmer; and her brother Donald Zimmer.

Visitation is Sunday, May 19, 2013 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 2-6pm.

The funeral service will be Monday, May 20, 2013 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at 10am until the time of service at 11am.

The burial will take place privately at Silverlawn Cemetery in Sebewaing.

Memorial contributions may be given to Trinity United Methodist Church in Sebewaing.
