Dorothy Jean Zimmerman

Dorothy J. Zimmerman, age 64, of Caseville, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2014 at McLaren Bay Region in Bay City.

Dorothy was born on April 6, 1950 to Martin and Anna (Wezensky) Rzepecki in Dearborn, Michigan. She married Arthur Zimmerman, Sr. on June 15, 1969. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, fishing, writing in her journal, walking down to the creek and spending time with her grandchildren. When asked what her favorite pastime as a child was, she wrote in her journal, " My favorite pastime was going down to the creek by our house and just sitting there watching the water. I had a favorite spot there that had a place where you could hide. When we played I would always go there and be quiet as I could and no one ever found me."

She is survived by her children: Arthur (Judy) Zimmerman, Berlyn (friend Lorie Hurley) Zimmerman and Justine Zimmerman; 13 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; siblings: Paul Rzepecki, Joan Pado, Martha Tamonis, Kathy Vancamp and Janice Rzepecki.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one sister, Barbara Rzepecki.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation and service will take place Satruday, August 16, 2014 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at 10am until the time of service at 12noon.
