Dorthy May Rose Hale, age 81, of Caseville Twp., passed away Sunday evening at Sunny Acres Nursing Center in Colfax Township under the care of Hospice Advantage.
Dorthy was born August 25, 1924 in Harlan County, Kentucky to the late John and Pearl (Parden) Smith. She lived in Kentucky prior to 2000, when she moved to Caseville to be near her sons.
Dorthy will be missed by her two sons, Charles E. (Betty) Rose of Columbia, Tennessee and Robert J. (Jenny) Rose of Caseville; nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, and all that loved her.
A funeral service will be at 7:00 PM Tuesday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville with Pastor Steve Bouverette of Owendale Community of Christ Church officiating. Burial will be on Wednesday at Mt. Hope Memorial Gardens in Livonia. Visitation will be 3-7 PM Tuesday.
