Douglas A. Deming

Douglas A. Deming, 74, of Bay Port passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022 at ShorePointe Health and Rehabilitation Center in St. Clair Shores.

Doug was born October 1, 1947 in Pigeon to the late Alvin and Louise (Diebel) Deming. He graduated from Laker High School in 1965. He served in the US Navy as an aircraft mechanic on the carrier USS Saratoga. He worked as a fabricator and welder at MOCO in Caseville. Later in life he converted to Islam and took the name Achmad.

Doug is survived by his sons Zeb (Rachel) of Elkton, Zack (Jill Gavitt) of Virginia and Alvin of Westland; grandchildren Zoe, Dakota, and Alora; brother Chuck (Donna) of Ohio.

A service will be held at a later date. Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
