Douglas L. Forshee

Douglas L. Forshee of Detroit, formerly of Caro, age 62, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center in Detroit. Doug was born January 24, 1958 in Caro. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and went on to become a long-haul truck driver. Doug is survived by his mother, Shirley Forshee; and five siblings, Richard Forshee II of Saline, Deborah Thayer of South Carolina, Tammera Griffith of West Virginia, Terence Forshee of Vermont, and Cordell Forshee of North Carolina. Doug was preceded in death by his father, Richard Forshee. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 25, 2021 at the Indianfields Township Cemetery in Caro with Pastor Marc Herron officiating. Military honors will be under the auspices of the U.S. Marine Corps and the Caro VFW Post 4164.
