Douglas Dale Maust

Douglas Dale Maust, 76, of Pigeon, passed away suddenly Saturday, January 22, 2022 in Saginaw.

Doug was born August 29, 1945 in Pigeon to the late Joseph and Emma (Fischer) Maust. He graduated from Laker High School and attended Goshen College for two years. He married Marilyn C. Tobola on December 22, 1979 at Hayes United Methodist Church. Doug was a career long haul truck driver, most recently for Countryside Transport. Doug loved his boat, “Sandancer”, and was an accomplished downhill skier. In his senior years he was never without a book in his hands.

He is survived by his wife Marilyn; step-daughter Deborah Arnoldy; sister Myra Gerstenschlager; and special friends Tim and Kim Sears. He was preceded in death by his brother Joseph J. Maust.

A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.
