Douglas Wade "Doug" Wilcox of Millington, age 62, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Medilodge of Cass City. Doug was born June 7, 1957 in Flint, the son of Leatha (Stewart) Wilcox and the late Jack Douglas Wilcox. He was united in marriage with the former Denise M. Scharich on June 6, 1981 at Richfield Center, and she survives. Doug served in the U.S. Army at the end of the Vietnam War, and had a second enlistment from 1981-1985. He was formerly employed with Textron in Grand Blanc. Doug was a member of the Columbiaville Sportsman Club and the Frankenmuth Wood Carvers Guild. Doug enjoyed wood carving, riding his Harley Davidson, muzzleloaders, and working in his large garden. Doug is survived by his loving wife, Denise Wilcox of Millington; three daughters and their spouses, Emily & Blake Hill of Arkansas, Chrissy & Andy Sarles of Marlette, Shawn Lich of Millington; nine grandchildren; his mother, Leatha Stewart of Clio; his siblings, Ken Wilcox of Davison, Lori & John Frerich of Davison, Terry Elliott of Davison; mother- and father-in-law, RuthAnn & Bob Scharich; brother-in-law, Vince Scharich; and many nieces and nephews. In keeping with Doug's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering will be held at a later date.
