Duane A. Holland
Age 78, of Sebewaing, died Thursday morning, June 7, 2012 at home, under the wonderful care of McLaren Hospice.

He was born March 25, 1934 upstairs in the Kilmanagh general store, son of the late Arthur and Mabel (Neumann) Holland.
Duane graduated in 1952 from Owendale High School. As a young man, he moved to California where he met his wife Yvonne. They were married on March 12, 1960 in San Diego and moved to Michigan in 1970. His profession and hobby was carpentry. He was a proud union carpenter, and it will be his strong work ethic and generous giving of his talents that his family and friends will remember him for the most.

Surviving are his four daughters and spouses: Ilene(Mark) Chiotti, Bay Port; Suzanne (Dean) Jones, Bloomington, IN; Diane Holland, Barstow, CA; Dawn (Brad) Holland, Lansing; 7 grandchildren, Amanda, Adam, Rebecca, Timothy, Thomas, Erika, and Alec. One brother, Don (Patricia) Holland, One sister-in-law, Sandy Carlson, Jamestown, NY; many nieces and nephews; and his very special friend Jeannette McDonald.

He was preceded in death by his wife Yvonne in 2005 and his granddaughter Michelle Chiotti in 2010.

Visitation Sunday, June 10, 2012 from 3-8pm at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing.

The funeral service will take place 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 11, 2012 at St. John Lutheran Church in Kilmanagh. Visitation at the church at 9:30 a.m. Reverend Michael Teuscher will officiate with burial in the church cemetery.

Everyone is invited to an open house at Duane's home in Kilmanagh following the service 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.
