Duwayne Loney

DuWayne E. Loney, age 73, passed away on Thursday, April 05, 2007 surrounded by his family at his home, following a lingering illness. He was born November 3, 1933 in Manton, Michigan, the son of the late Clinton Opal (Hafer) Loney. DuWayne served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1958, and married the former Beverly Joan Walker on May 7, 1956 in Waterford, Michigan. He was employed as a counter salesman for Caro Auto Parts for 35 years. After his retirement in 1999, DuWayne began working with his son at Vassar Auto. DuWayne will be fondly remembered as a family man who also enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching sports, and was an avid Detroit Tigers and Pistons fan. He also enjoyed cutting his lawn with his John Deere tractor. DuWayne is survived by his wife of over fifty years, Beverly Joan Loney of Caro; three children and their spouses, Robert Sue Loney of Vassar, Timothy Joan Loney of Mayville, and Sheri Todd Beckrow of Caro; thirteen grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; one sister and her husband, Carol Don Murphy of Beaverton; one brother-in-law and his wife, Norman Nancy Walker of Los Angelos, CA; one sister-in-law, Star Loney of Ludington, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Eldon Loney and a son-in-law, Roby Hutchinson.
