Earl Crabtree

Earl Crabtree, Jr., age 76, of Sebewaing, passed away suddenly Saturday, November 27, 2010. Earl was born October 2, 1934 to the late Earl & Emma (Smith) Crabtree. He served in the U.S. Army Infantry from 1956 to 1958 in Heilbronn, Germany. He married Betty Brenner March 15, 1958 at St. John Lutheran Church-Kilmanagh. He owned Earl's Furniture & Floor Covering from 1968 to 1979.

Earl is survived by his wife, Betty; daughter, Karyn Crabtree (special friend Marcus Bierlein of Bridgeport); siblings, Frank (Pauline) Crabtree of Kawkawlin, Leonard (Frieda) Crabtree of Bay City, LeRoy (Sue) Crabtree of Las Vegas, NV, Shirley (Vic) Roemer of Sebewaing, Carol (Jim) Cowlbeck of Sterling Heights, Judy (Frank) Shinske of Almont, and Marilyn (Ted) Simpson of Almont. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his sibilings; Elmer Crabtree, Joyce Cilley (survived by husband Ronald), and Thelma (Frank) Witzgall.

Visitation Monday, November 29, 2010 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home, Sebewaing from 2-9pm.

Funeral Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Sebewaing at 11am.

Burial at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Sebewaing.

Memorial contributions may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Immanuel Lutheran Music Fund.
