Edith May Allen

Edith M. Allen 84 of Bay City formerly of Pigeon died Friday afternoon, September 27, at McLaren Bay Region, Bay City.

She was born October 26, 1928 in Pontiac to the late Grant and Jane Capling.
Edith moved from Williamston, near Lansing, to Huron County in 1964, where they had been vacationing many years prior.

She was a beautician and had worked at the Huron County Medical Care Facility 22 years, retiring in 1990. She was doing hair at Bea’s Beauty Shop, Elkton at the same time.

In her spare time, Edith enjoyed reading, drawing, baking and making candy, especially fudge.
Surviving are her daughter, Denise Morin; six grandchildren, Robert, John, Michelle, Jane, Karl and Sarah; eight great grandchildren, Calab, Eve, Gabriel, Abbigale, Nathan, Cody, Emily and Connor.

Preceding her in death was a son Robert Allen; her sister, Patricia Whipple and her son-in-law, Larry Morin.

Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 1, at Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton.
