Edith Belle Wiese

Edith Belle Wiese, age 91, of Caseville, died suddenly Tuesday, December 12th at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe.

Edith was born September 17, 1915 in Lake Township to the late William and Pearl (Nuttall) Langley. In 1936 she married George Jean Jr. in Detroit. After George’s death, Edith married Edwin Wiese in 1972. Edwin died in 1992.

Edith lived in Detroit from 1936 to 1948, when she returned to Caseville. Over the years she worked at La Blanc’s Store and R & J Laundromat in Caseville, until retiring in 1991. She was a member of the Caseville United Methodist Church.

Surviving Edith is a step-daughter Nancy (Neal) Jefferson of Milford, two grandsons, Jimmy McElmurry and Monte Jenkins, both of Caseville, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husbands George and Edwin, daughters Carol Kelso and Shelly Snider, and son Al D. Jean.

Edith’s life will be remembered Sunday, December 17th, during the 11:00AM Service at Pinnebog United Methodist Church.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville.

Memorials may be made to the Pinnebog United Methodist Church.
