Edna M. Lutz, age 96, of Sebewaing, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2015.

Edna was born September 27, 1918 in Sebewaing, the daughter of the late Frederick and Lena (Kunisch) Schilling. She married Arnold Lutz on September 3, 1939 at St. John Lutheran Church in Kilmanagh. Arnold passed away in 1988. Edna was involved in many groups and organizations throughout her life, including 4-H leader, Farm Bureau, Sunday school teacher, vacation bible school teacher, Mary Martha Guild, Ladies Aid, Couples Club, Birthday Club and many Card Clubs. In 1999 she published a family history book called "The Schillings". She enjoyed vacationing at their cottage in Caseville and going to Florida to play cards with friends. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with her family and friends.

Edna is survived by her four children: Robert (Cheryl) Lutz of Sebewaing, Betty (the late Ronald) Miller of Bay City, Barbara (John) Gunn of Saginaw, and William (Cynthia) Lutz of Sebewaing; grandchildren: Connie (Scott) Bolzman, Matt (Terri) Lutz, Chris (Greg) King, Stacy Miller, Mike (Dawn) Gunn, Steve (Suzie) Gunn, Kimberly Birch, David (Dana) Lutz, Pamela (Jon) Ramirez, the late Baby Girl Miller and the late Paul Lutz; 15 great grandchildren; surviving are two siblings: Carl Schilling of Roscommon and Della Burns of Bay City; and her late siblings: Florence Sampson, Martha Connors and Elma Schilling.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 20, 2015, from 3-8PM at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, September 21, 2015, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at 10AM until the time of service at 11AM.

Burial will take place privately at Silverlawn Cemetery in Sebewaing.

Memorial donations may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church – General Fund, Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society.
