Edna Touchette

Edna M. Touchette, age 67, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. She was born on August 24, 1943 in Caro to Ilah (Corner) Brown and the late Floyd R. Brown. Edna Brown was a high school graduate. She married Howard E. Touchette, Sr. on April 24, 1982 in Caro. He preceded her in death on November 28, 1995. Edna was a mother and homemaker, enjoying her family, gardening, canning, crossword puzzles, sewing and interacting with her grandchild and new puppy, Wiggles. She is survived by her mother, Ilah Brown of Caro; her children, Zach Orto of Midland, Texas, and Rebecca and William Krumsiek of Lubbock, Texas; one granddaughter, Madelynne Mae Orto; her siblings, Robert Brown of Caro, Hubert “Tex” and Janet Brown of Afton, and Gordon and Bonnie Brown of Mayville; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and father, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Russell in 1939; and a sister-in-law, Joyce Brown in 2010. A graveside service will be held at the Wahjamega Cemetery on Monday, January 10, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Pastor James Solomon officiating. There will be no visitation at the Collon Funeral Home.
