Edward Gerald Carson Sr.

Edward G. Carson Sr., 88, of Pigeon, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Hurley Hospital in Flint.

Ed was born January 7, 1934 in Detroit to the late Harold and Lilly (Muskat) Carson. Ed married Joanne Jerome on October 20, 1952 and he died on their 70th wedding anniversary. He retired from Chrysler as a Tool Maker in 1996. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and the outdoors. He loved spending time with and lovingly teasing his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Ed is survived by his wife Joanne; children Ed Jr. (Cindi) of Lewiston and Shirley (Glenn) Maccagnone of Shelby Twp; grandchildren Anthony, Cortney, Tara, Angela, and Taylor; and 18 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister Joyce Bectol. Ed was preceded in death by his granddaughter Heather, and brothers Harold and William.

Funeral services will be 2:00pm Wednesday, October 26th at the Champagne Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ean Green officiating. Visitation will be from Noon until the time of the service.
