March 30, 1945 — June 16, 2012

Edward Gerald "Ed" Tracy, age 67 of Caseville Township and Pigeon, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2012 at home while under hospice care.
Born in Detroit on March 30, 1945, he was the son of the late Edward and Barbara C. (Revitzer) Tracy. He attended the Chicago Academy of Chefs and Bakers, where he received his Master Chefs Degree. He and Vaunchiska Kearns were united in marriage in Chillicothe, Ohio on February 3, 2005.
Ed owned and operated Rightway Construction Company in Metro Detroit for many years, and also several restaurants in Metro Detroit. At one time he played the piano, organ, and accordion, and played organ at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City. He loved to sing Amazing Grace and The Old Rugged Cross around the house. He moved to Huron County because he always loved it, and looked forward to boating. He made many friends here.
In his high school days, Ed was a baseball pitcher, even sustaining a shoulder injury which had to be surgically fixed. He was helpful to many in any way possible. Known as a good man, Ed - often referred to as "Sonny" by his family, was very loving to his family, and would do without his own wants to make sure his family had the things they needed. He loved to cook for his family.
He attended the Pigeon First United Methodist Church.
In addition to his beloved wife, Vaunchiska, Ed is survived by his children, Britney Elizabeth of Grand Rapids, Frank and Nickolas, both of Lincoln Park, Jason of St. Clair Shores, and Edward James "E.J.", who "loves his daddy to Jesus & back," at home. He is also survived by a sister, Eva Shearer of Phoenix, Arizona. He was preceded in death by a son, Brian and a sister, Linda.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at the Pigeon First United Methodist Church, with Rev. John Britt, pastor, officiating. The family will greet friends beginning at noon.
