Edward Leigh "Leigh" Ganley

Edward "Leigh" Ganley of Caro, age 79, passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at McLaren - Bay Region in Bay City. Leigh was born July 27, 1941 in Harbor Beach, the son of the late Bernard and Janet Lucille (Hagedon) Ganley. He was united in marriage with the former Nancy Janice Ellis on May 19, 1960 in Saginaw, and she survives. Leigh loved hunting, fishing and trapping. He also enjoyed playing cards, especially cribbage. Leigh cherished time spent with family and handing out root beer barrels. He was always there to help others from being a messenger to a personal shopper. Leigh is survived by his loving wife of sixty years, Janice; five children and their spouses, Cindy & Jerry Woodruff of Caro, Greg Ganley and his significant other, Lori Killinger, of Gagetown, Sandra "Sam" Gutierrez of Caro, Sue & Mark Copeland of Cass City, Ed & Michelle Ganley of Caro; grandchildren and their spouses, Amy Woodruff and special friend, Gene, Ryan & Carley Woodruff, Tony Mitchell, Gino Gutierrez, Sam & Kayla Gutierrez, Jennifer & Anthony Alford, Max Gutierrez, Livia Ganley, Whitney & Evan Laurie, Mason Copeland, Riley Copeland; great-grandchildren, Peyton Gainforth, Brianna Therrien, Hunter Woodruff, Kimber Woodruff, Armahni Alford, Porter Laurie, Reece Laurie, Millie Laurie; one brother, Bernard Gary Ganley of Cass City; sister-in-law, Marion Graham and husband, Leon, of Caro. In addition to his parents, Leigh was preceded in death by one sister, Sally Davis. In keeping with Leigh's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering will be held at a later date and announced on this website as information becomes available.
