Edward Earl Kelley

Edward Earl Kelley of Cass City, age 66, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2016 at his home. Ed was a hardworking man, retiring from Saginaw Grey Iron Foundry after forty-four years of employment. After retirement, he found a fulfilling career working for his brother-in-law, Harry Bitel, moving large trees. Ed also loved to have fun. With a sharp wit, he was quick to deliver a well-timed joke, lifting everyone's spirits. His charisma granted him the ability to make friends no matter where he went. Ed loved to travel throughout Michigan on his motorcycle, and was especially fond of the Upper Peninsula. He enjoyed woodworking and lavishing friends and family with handmade gifts. He was fiercely proud of his Irish heritage, and would blow an impromptu jig on his harmonica and challenge you to a game of Dominoes. Ed was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who praised and thanked the Good Lord for the many blessings he was graced with. Ed is survived by his loving wife, Vicky Kelley, whom he married on January 7, 1967. Together they have five children, Edward Dean Kelley and his wife, April, and their two children; Angela Gail Harris and her husband, Les, and their ten children; Sharon Yevone Kelley and her two children; Mark Edward Kelley and his wife, Amber, and their five children; Melissa Lynn Motley and her husband, Andre, and their four children. Together Ed and Vicky had twelve great-grandchildren. Ed is also survived by his siblings and their spouses, Donna & Paul Matthews, Winifred & Chuck Collins, Hazel Kelley and her fianc, Dave Nehison, Robert & KumPu Kelley.
