Edward F Parkham

September 21, 1922 — January 5, 2015

Edward F. Parkham age 92 of Port Austin, died Monday morning, January 5, at Covenant Cooper, Saginaw.
He was born September 21, 1922, in Alpena to the late August and Antoinet (Lazawich) Parkham.

Ed served his country during WWII in the US Navy in the Pacific. On his return he went to
work at TRW of Sterling Heights, first as a test driver and working up the ranks to engineer, retiring in 1984 with 33 years of service.
On October 15, 1983, he was united in marriage to Florine (Hebert) St. George at St. Roch Catholic Church by Fr. Ted LaMarre and made their home near Caseville at the cottage he had owned since 1960 . In October of 2012, they moved to Port Austin to be near family.

Ed was a member of St Felix Catholic Church, Pinnebog and the International Order of Alhambra, Galicia Caravan #77. He and Florine traveled for 23 years throughout the US and Mexico. Ed enjoyed
playing his violin and mandolin at festivals, events and local pubs.

Surviving are his wife, Florine; son, Timothy (Jae) Parkham of Marine City; daughter-in-law Maria Parkham of Sterling Heights; two step daughters, Alberta Jimkoski of Pinnebog and Judy St. George of Port Austin; stepson, Joe (Judy) St. George of Clarkston; nine grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and a sister, Agnes Parkham of Saginaw.

Preceding him ibn death was a son, Duane; son-in-law, John Jimkoski; grandson, Nick Jimkoski; for brothers, John, Adam, Julius and August and two sisters, Rose and Margaret.

Funeral services will be conducted 12 noon, Monday, January 12, at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton. Fr. Robert Pare, pastor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parrish will officiate with burial in St. Felix Cemetery, Pinnebog.
Friends may call Monday from 11 AM until the time of services.
